For the approximately 150 owners of the Jonker JS3 RES, of which approximately 15 are in the Nordic countries, the wait for the electric RES system to be allowed to fly again has been long. Yesterday, after a 10-month standstill, the long-awaited announcement came that EASA has approved the necessary major change to the engine system. For at least one pilot, the announcement came as a welcome birthday present.
